Accommodation
All of our guests are invited to enjoy a complimentary stay at Babington House on the night of the wedding — no need to worry about booking a room, we’ll take care of assigning them for you. Check-out will be at 12pm the following day, giving you time for a relaxed morning before heading off.
If you’d like to turn the wedding into a little getaway, there are plenty of lovely places to stay in the days leading up to the big day. Bath (just a 30-minute drive away) is full of beautiful Airbnbs, cozy hotels, and, of course, its famous spa. You could also base yourself in London if you’d like a city stay before joining us.
The weekend
Please plan to arrive by 3:00pm. This gives you plenty of time to check in, settle into your room, and take in the beautiful surroundings before the celebrations begin. Our ceremony will take place outside, followed by a cozy dinner indoors in the Orangery and then a lively reception in the bar to dance the night away together.

A note on gifts
Your presence truly is the greatest gift to us. If you’d like to mark the occasion with something extra, we’d love for you to consider a donation to Cancer Research UK, the American Cancer Society or a charity close to your own heart.
If you feel strongly about giving something physical, we’d be happiest with something handmade and meaningful like a drawing your child creates, a poem, a love letter, or even baked goods. Sustainable gifts are always welcome.

Where to stay
(for the days leading up to the wedding)
We’ve put together a few hotel groupings for you based on our wedding venue location. If you’d like to turn the wedding into a little city break, London is a fantastic place to spend a few days before heading to Babington House. Or we recommend staying in the beautiful city of Bath, just a short journey from our wedding venue.
Our story
Our story began in the cozy hum of the Marquis of Granby in Fitzrovia, where Annie, fresh to London by barely a week, was introduced to Paul through a friend of the family.
He became one of the first people she really connected with in that huge new city, and their friendship settled in quickly and naturally, the kind that just feels like it’s been there for ages.
For a year we orbited each other as friends, both feeling the pull but taking our time until we finally stepped into something deeper.
Six years later, that leap has turned into a life. On New Year’s Eve in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, just the two of them, wrapped in winter air and the thunder of fireworks, Paul asked Annie to marry him.
We’ll start our seventh year not just as partners, but as husband and wife.
FAQs
-
We’d love for our wedding to feel like a special celebration, so our dress code is formal cocktail. Think elegant dresses, jumpsuits, and suits or smart jackets. Have fun with it, dress up, feel fabulous, and get ready to dance the night away with us!
If you’d like a little inspiration, think garden party glam with a hint of earthy chic. These tones will look beautiful with the setting — but completely optional, of course.
-
Yes! We would LOVE to have your kids at the wedding. Please feel free to read this article for more information about staying at the venue with children. Please also let us know the ages of your kids when you RSVP so we can arrange childcare accordingly. There will be one child minder per family.
-
English weather can be a little unpredictable. Sunshine one minute, showers the next! But the hope is that parts of our day will be outdoors on the grounds, so we recommend bringing a light jacket or wrap just in case. If you’re wearing heels, you may also want to consider block heels or bring flats for walking on the grass. The hotel will provide umbrellas.
-
There is valet parking at the venue. If traveling by train please book taxis or ubers from Bath or Frome stations. The hotel can help arrange taxis to stations on your outward journey.
-
All rooms will be assigned in advanced. Some rooms are in the main house, others are in building blocks throughout the venue. If attending with children, there are kid-friendly rooms with miniature baths/sinks and bunk bed options.
